  Welcome to MEPS!

MEPS (Materials Engineering Professional Societies) is a fantastic organization affiliated with the Materials Science and Engineering department at Virginia Tech and many important groups in industry. For more information on MEPS, see "About MEPS".

Below we list important announcements on upcoming events, opportunities, and meetings.

Meetings offer more information than the updates. They also provide a chance to meet and talk with students in MSE and outside of the department from various years (including some graduates). Oh, and meetings often come with FREE food, so that's a huge plus.

There is no obligation to do any or all of the events. Pick and choose those things that are most interesting to you!

Scholarship Opportunities - Sunday, February 26, 2012

Alright MSEs, it's down to the wire for some scholarships for the next school year. Here's a  definitely non-exhaustive list of scholarships.

Even if a due date is still distant, start working on them. It can take a while to get all the letters you may need from professors. Also, be sure to look for scholarships from smaller organizations.

MSE-restricted scholarships sometimes receive few or no applications. A grand or so is an awesome participation prize.

That's quite a few sources of free money. Good luck!

Christian
